About me

In my work, I try to create worlds. I enjoy developing worlds of fantasy and magical realism. I like to create characters that belong within their own specific realms interacting with their environments. My process involves working in black and white, typically with pencils, pens, and various inks.

In my piece The Dancers, I recreated a scene from the movie Looking for Langston, which involved two male dancers. I used black ink and left the image colorless to achieve a classic, and yet antiquated feeling within the drawing. The piece depicts gay culture within the Harlem Renaissance, exploring the intimacy of the two male dancers relationship, as they dance together in a New York speakeasy.
